Terrace of a café at night is an oil on canvas that Van Gogh painted in September 1888 from a café in Arles that would end up bearing his name. It is located in the Kröller-Müller Museum. This is the first work in which Van Gogh paints a night sky, a starry sky. Then he would do it again in The Starry Night and Starry Night over the Rhône, two of his most famous and emblematic works.
