The Potato Harvest by Jean Francois Millet
Oil reproduction on canvas of “The Potato Harvest”, a work that Millet painted in 1855. This is one of the works he produced after settling in Barbizon. In it you can see some peasants collecting potatoes and putting them in sacks, all with a sky half warm tones, like a sunrise or a sunset, and the other half, a dark cloud discharging water.
The original is in the “Walters Museum of Art” in Baltimore, USA.
It measures 54 x 65.2 cm.
