The Immaculate Conception of Los Venerables – Murillo

Oil on canvas reproduction of “The Immaculate Conception of Los Venerables”, a work Murillo painted around 1678. The work was commissioned by Justino de Neve for the Hospital de los Venerables in Seville, hence its name. It is also known as “Soult’s Immaculate” because the work was plundered and taken to France during the War of Independence by Marshal Soult.

The original is in the “Prado Museum”.

Its dimensions are 274 x 190 cm.
