The drowning Dog by Goya
Oil on canvas reproduction of “The drowning Dog“, also known as “The Dog“. A work that Goya painted between 1820 and 1823. It is part of a series of fourteen paintings that Goya painted on the walls of his famous country house “La quinta del sordo”. These fourteen paintings became famous as “Black Paintings”.
This work was transferred from the wall to a canvas and is now in the “Museo del Prado”.
The original is 131 x 79 cm in size.
