Cubism

Cubism is an artistic movement that emerged in France in 1907. Its most important representatives are Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque. Cubism puts an end to the traditional way of treating a painting, since it bases its composition on geometric figures. This avant-garde began with Picasso’s “Las señoritas de Avignon”, which opened the doors to “Modernism”.
